What does it mean to join the GTLO Coalition?

Joining the GTLO Coalition does not require money or that you are a person with political power. It requires that you:

• Believe in holding industry accountable and responsible for environmental damage it causes within a community;
• Take a little of your time to attend hearings and community education;
• Offer your talents (Can you stuff envelopes? Can you take time to talk with your neighbors and educate them on this issue? Can you write letters to local officials? Can you show up at city council meetings or hearings to show your support for the GTLO Coalition mission? These are talents GTLO needs!); and
• Believe in a business-community partnership which is economically and ecologically healthy
• Believe that El Paso can do better than partner with an industry that has a history of making a community's citizens and environment sick.

Most important of all, it requires the belief that Si, Puede!
